Enter the access point user name and password.
The default user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you
logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The Dashboard page displays.
4.
Select Management > Maintenance > Remote Management.
The Remote Management page displays.
5.
Select one of the following Secure Shell (SSH) radio buttons:
Enable. SSH is enabled. This is the default setting.
Disable. SSH is disabled.
6.
Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.

Enable SNMP and Manage the SNMP Settings

You can access the access point over a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) connection, which
allows SNMP network management software such as HP OpenView to manage the access point by using
the SNMPv1 or v2 protocol. By default, SNMP is disabled.
To enable SNMP and manage the SNMP settings:
1.
Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the access point or to
the access point directly through an Ethernet cable or WiFi connection.
2.
Enter the IP address that is assigned to the access point.
A login window opens.
3.
Enter the access point user name and password.
The default user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you
logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The Dashboard page displays.
4.
Select Management > Maintenance > Remote Management.
The Remote Management page displays.
5.
Select the SNMP Enable radio button.
