Open the Control drop-down menu for any Key, and select the command which this key on the
UDM-RC02 Remote Control will issue (FIG. 28).

Ensure the key on the Remote Controller corresponds with the correct command.

Select either the Port or Device radio button to specify whether this button on the remote should be
associated with the Port (display device) or an actual Device (e.g. a DVD player added to the system as a
device) when it is pushed.

Click the Schedule drop-down menu to add each Control to a user-defined schedule if desired. The
schedules that are available for selection here are defined in the Schedule page (see the Configuration -
Schedule Page section on page 45).

The UDM Receiver will now accept the relevant command from the remote controller (i.e. Key 1 on the
UDM-RC02 will "Play" the DVD, as indicated in FIG. 29. .

Port / Device - The radio buttons in this column allow you to specify either the Port or the Device
as the recipient of each defined command.
Schedule - These drop-down menus allow you to add each defined User Control to a user-defined
Schedule. The schedules that are available for selection here are defined in the Schedule page. See
the Configuration - Schedule Page section on page 45 for details.
Passthrough - These checkboxes allow you to specify each User Control as a passthrough
command. Passthrough allows an UDM-RC02 remote control (or SKY or SKY+ remotes) to be
used to control devices connected to the UDM-0102 (see the Passthrough Mode section on page 29
for details).
