Running the Dell Update Package from the Command Line
For a list of the CLI options for systems running Windows, a description of each
option, and the command syntax, refer to the Dell Update Packages Version
xx.xx.xxx User's Guide, "Windows CLI Options" section.
Running the Dell update package from the command line, with no options
specified, results in the same behavior as double-clicking the icon representing
the Dell update package.
NOTE
The actual file name of the Dell update package varies.
To run the Dell update package from the command line:
C:\><DUP_file_name>.EXE
The following shows the syntax for specifying options to customize the Dell
update package installation behavior:
<DUP_file_name>.exe [/<option1>[=<value1>]] [/<option2>[=<value2>]]...
To display the GUI for guided installation, update, or extraction, use no options.
Examples
To update the system silently:
<DUP_file_name>.exe /s
To extract the update contents to the C:\mydir\ directory:
<DUP_file_name>.exe /s /e=C:\mydir
