4.5 Prolonging Battery Life and Instant on/off Functionality
The VisionPlate provides the option of setting a Low Power Mode for prolonging battery life and
for Instant on/off functionality. The Power button and Time-out function can be used to prolong
battery life.
4.5.1 Power Button
If the Power button is pressed and released after one second, your VisionPlate will enter Standby
Mode. When in Standby Mode, the green lamp will blink.
The power mode can be changed by following these steps:
1. Using the stylus, tap the Start Menu, then tap Control Panel. The Control Panel window will
open.
2. Double tap the Power Option
3. Tap the Advanced tab and select one of four modes for the Power button, which are: Do
Nothing, Ask me what to do, Standby, and Shutdown. These modes can be set by selecting the
mode from the pull down menu under "When I press the power button on my computer."
Note: The Sleep button modes under "When I press the sleep button on my computer" are
disabled.
