Expansion Port Operation within the DSP

The expansion port (see
on page 16) allows a DTP CrossPoint matrix switcher and an Extron DMP 128 ProDSP
Digital Matrix Processor to be connected together for bidirectional communications with
16 channels of input and output audio. Audio that is processed in one unit can be directly
input to the other unit to harness its processing capabilities.
Expansion output channels
The DTP CrossPoint has 16 expansion output channels (see figure 80), comprised of:
Line outputs 1 and 2, left and right (channels 1 through 4)
Mic inputs 1 through 4 (channels 5 through 8)
Virtual returns A through H (channels 9 through 16)
