electric connections of the internal combustion engine On/Off switch C C C C 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 ;
if the switch C C C C 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 or its electric connections are defective, replace or repair
properly; if the switch C C C C 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 and its electric wires are in order, check the
insertion of the flat cable connecting the display electronic card S S S S K K K K 2 2 2 2 to the
main electronic board S S S S K K K K 3 3 3 3 ; check the efficiency of the display electronic
card S S S S K K K K 2 2 2 2 by temporarily connecting a new display card to the flat cable and
to the dash board S S S S K K K K 1 1 1 1 – before proceeding with the actual replacement of
the display card itself.

THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE IS SWITCHING OFF SOME
SECONDS AFTER STARTING

a a a a ) ) ) ) Check if there is any fuel in the tank
b b b b ) ) ) ) Check the Technical Program – row N° 8: reading P70 or P71 (see the
Technical Program in Paragraph 5.4-2 and the Technical Service Bulletin
TSB-IT-2001- 004 in Section 5)
c c c c ) ) ) ) Look at the voltage indicated on the display when the engine switches off:
if the voltage is around 29 Volt – 30 Volt, we can say that the machine
behaviour is normal: the engine switching off is due to the intervention of the
automatic cutoff avoiding the battery being overcharged
d d d d ) ) ) ) In any case check the battery efficiency and its actual charge level. In fact
the behaviour described at previous point c) is correct only in the case that
the battery is actually fully charged. On the contrary, if the above described
phenomenon takes place when the battery is not fully charged, it most
probably means that one of the elements – or cells – of the battery is
defective. In this case replace the damaged battery
e e e e ) ) ) ) Check also the engine rpm: if this is too high, reduce it (see Paragraph 5.6
"Internal combustion engines Rpm" in Section 5)

a a a a ) ) ) ) Check the fuse on the jack motor M M M M 6 6 6 6 ; it is connected in series to one of
the two electric wires of the electric motor M M M M 6 6 6 6 ; if the jack motor is not
protected with a fuse, it must be installed (see TSB IT 2000-012 in Section
5)
