10. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

10.3.2 Battery replacement procedure

Replace the battery according to the following procedure when life of the battery is
over.Even when the battery is removed memory is backed up by the capacitor for a while.
However, if replacement takes longer than the guaranteed value shown in Table 10.5, the
content of the memory may be erased, so replace the battery quickly.
Battery replacement
Back up the program, data.
Turn OFF the programmable
controller power supply.
Open the front cover of the
CPU module.
Pull the battery in use out of the
holder. Disconnect the cord from
the cord holder and disconnect
the lead connector from the
connector.
Insert the new battery into the
holder in the correct direction
and connect the lead connector
to the connector. (Place the cord
into cord holder.)
Close the front cover of the
CPU module.
Turn ON the programmable
controller power supply.
M9006 with a peripheral
device and confirm the
Battery is defective.

Monitor the
