e. With main boom length in this position, raise the
main boom until the capacity indicator lights
change back to the 1000 lb. (450 kg) indicator.
8. Check the high engine cut-out as follows.
TOWER BOOM HORIZONTAL LIMIT SWITCH.
a. Place machine on level surface with booms
retracted and lowered.
b. From the platform control, position DRIVE SPEED/
TORQUE SELECT switch to FAST (Forward Posi-
tion).
c. Using extreme caution, partially position the DRIVE
control to FORWARD just enough to obtain high
engine but not enough to cause the machine to
move.
d. Raise the TOWER BOOM until the engine speed
shifts from high speed to mid speed.
e. The bottom of the upright should not be above the
hood level of the machine it is, DO NOT DRIVE THE
MACHINE.

MAIN BOOM HORIZONTAL LIMIT SWITCH (Machines built
prior to S/N 62045).
a. Place machine on level surface with booms
retracted and lowered.
b. From platform control, position DRIVE SPEED/
TORQUE SELECT switch to FAST (Forward Posi-
tion).
c. Using extreme caution, partially position the DRIVE
control to FORWARD just enough to obtain high
engine but not enough to cause the machine to
move.
d. Raise the MAIN BOOM until the engine speed shifts
from high speed to mid speed.
e. This should take about 10 seconds and the platform
will be approx. 10 ft. (3 m) from the ground. DO
NOT DRIVE MACHINE if low engine does not
engage.
