Check the altitude where your water heater is installed. Set DIP switches shown in the table below. The
DIP switch settings depend on the altitude.
• Adjust the appropriate DIP switches according to model and elevation as
shown below. DO NOT adjust the other DIP switches.
• Turn off the power supply to the water heater before changing the DIP
WARNING
switch settings.
• Failure to observe these warnings could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning
or death.
The maximum certified or allowable installed altitude is 6,000 ft (1,829 m) for indoor and out-
door models.
