During the initial start up, the door lock drive starts by requesting the basic
settings after inserting the batteries.
These basic settings are absolutely necessary for the initial start up so that the
door lock drive will operate correctly. Perform all set up work correctly and careful-
ly so that proper functionality is guaranteed (see sec. „6 Start-up" on page 39).
The basic settings do not have be performed again either if the door lock drive
is to be replaced on another lock cylinder or another door is installed.
Remove or change used batteries immediately to prevent the batteries from
leaking.
When battery power is low, the LC display shows a flashing battery symbol
(
). The device will also emit three warning tones after every basic function
actuated.
Change the batteries/rechargeable batteries in this case. The settings will not
be lost.
Make sure that the batteries/rechargeable batteries are inserted the right way.
Contact with batteries/rechargeable batteries that are dead or damaged can
cause skin irritation. Use protective gloves in this case.
Do not short-circuit the batteries/rechargeable batteries! Do not throw batteries/
rechargeable batteries into a fire. Doing so will present a risk of explosion.
Never take a battery/rechargeable battery apart!
Never recharge standard batteries. Doing so will present a risk of explosion.
If not used for any length of time (e.g. when in storage), remove the batteries/
rechargeable batteries to avoid damages caused by leaking, etc.
Always replace all batteries/rechargeable batteries in the device and use
batteries/rechargeable batteries of the same type/from the same manufacturer
only. Do not mix batteries with rechargeable batteries.
Used batteries should not be disposed of with regular domestic waste!
Instead, take them to your local battery disposal point.
