To determine the current Setup defaults, print the Configuration page from
Command WorkStation or the GA-1120 Control Panel.
Description
Select Off if your job consists of black-
only text pages combined with a
significant number of color pages.
Select On if you are printing a
predominantly black and white job.
Select Off to print black text with
knockouts.
Select On to overprint black text.
Specify the type of black overprint style
you want to use.
Select Printer's default or Text to
overprint black text.
Select Graphics to overprint black text
and graphics.
Select 85% for a substantially lighter
image, 115% for a substantially darker
image, or use one of the settings in
between.
Requirements, constraints,
and information
Color Mode must be set to CMYK,
Standard Color, or Expert Color.
The Printer's default setting reflects the
setting specified in GA-1120 Setup.
For Windows, choose Expert Color as
the Color Mode to access this option.
If this option is set to On, the Combine
Separations option must be set to Off.
Setting this option to On automatically
sets the Pure Black Text/Graphics option
to On. For more information, see the
Color
Guide.
For Windows 9x/Me and Windows NT
4.0, choose Expert Color as the Color
Mode to access this option.

The Printer's default setting reflects the
setting specified in GA-1120 Setup.
