Axle nut torque:
45 Nm (4.5 m·kg, 32 ft·lb)
4. Adjust the free play in the brake lever.

&WARNING:
It is advisable to have a Yamaha dealer
service the rear wheel.
1. Elevate the rear wheel by placing a sui-
table stand under the engine.
2. Remove the tension bar and the brake
rod from the brake shoe plate.
The
rension bar can be removed by removing
the cotter pin and nut from the tension
bar blot. The brake rad can be removed
by removing the adjuster.

3. Disconnect the drive chain.
4. Remove the cotter pin from the wheel
axle and remove the rear wheel axle nut.
5. Then the rear wheel assembly, collar,
chain puller(s). etc., can be removed
from the motorcycle by pulling out the
wheel axle.
