Front
wheel
installation
1
Lift
up
the
wheel between
the
front
fork legs.
2.
Install
the
speedometer
gear
unit
and
the
wheel hub
with the projec-
tions
meshed
into
the
slots.
3.
Install
the
wheel
axle
(make
sure
the
slot
in
the
speedometer
gear
unit
housing
fits
over
the stopper
on
the
front fork
outer tube)
and
let
the motorcycle
down.
4.
Push
down
hard
on
the handle-
bars
several
times
to
check
for
proper
fork
operation.
5.
Install
the
front
fork
brace
and
fender.
6.
Install
the
speedometer
cable.
7.
Tighten the
wheel
axle
and
then
the pinch
bolt
and
front
fork
brace
bolts to
the specified torque.
Tightening
torque:

WARNING
It
is
advisable
to
have
a
Yamaha
dealer service the wheel.
Securely support the motor-
cycle
so
there
is
no danger
of
it
falling
over.
