&WARNING:
This shock absorber contains highly
pressurized nitrogen gas. Read and
understand the following information
before handling the shock absorber.
The manufacturer cannot be held re-
sponsible for property damage or per-
sonal injury that may result from im-
proper handling.
1. Do not tamper with or attempt to
open the cylinder assembly.
2. Do not subject shock absorber to
an open flame or other high heat
source.
This may cause the unit
to explode due to excessive gas
pressure.
3. Do not deform or damage the cyl-
inder in any way. Cylinder damage

will result in poor damping per-
formance.
4. Bring your shock absorber to
a
Yamaha dealer for any service.

Steering inspection
Periodically inspect the condition of the
steering. Worn out or loose steering bearings
may be dangerous.
Place a block under the engine to raise the
front wheel off the ground.
Hold the lower end of the front forks and try
to move them forward and backward. If any
free play can be felt, ask a Yamaha dealer to
inspect and adjust the steering. Inspection
is easier if the front wheel is removed.
