Connection to the drainage
system
– The dishwasher drain contains a
built-in non-return valve which
prevents dirty water from flowing
back into the dishwasher via the
drain hose.
– The dishwasher drainage hose
should be connected to a separate
on-site drain for the dishwasher only.
If no separate drain is available, we
recommend connecting it to a dual-
chamber siphon.
– The dishwasher is equipped with a
59" (1.5 m) long flexible drain hose
(clear width of 7/8" (22 mm)).
Clamps for connecting the hose are
included with the dishwasher.
– Do not shorten the drain hose! The
hose can be extended by a
connecting piece and an additional
hose. The length of the drainage line
may not exceed 13' (4 m) and the
delivery head must be no higher than
39" (1 m).
– The drainage system must be able to
handle a discharge rate of at least
4.2 g/min (16 l/min).
Make sure that there are no kinks
in the hose, and that it is not crushed
or stretched.

Venting the drain
If the on-site drain connection is
situated lower than the guide path for
the bottom basket rollers in the open
door, the drain must be vented.
Otherwise a siphoning effect during a
program can cause the appliance to
empty itself of water.
To vent it:
 Open the dishwasher door fully.
 Pull the lower spray arm firmly
upwards to remove it.
 Cut off the top of the vent valve in the
wash chamber.
