Salt indicator

 Fill the salt reservoir with dishwasher
salt for reactivation when 
appears in the display.
 Press the center button to confirm.
The salt refill indicator will go out.
After the salt reservoir has been filled,
the salt indicator may still appear in the
display if the salt concentration has not
yet reached the correct level. If this is
the case, confirm again with the center
button.
The salt indicator is deactivated if the
dishwasher is set to a water hardness
below 4 gr/gal (4 °dH - German scale).
Run the "Pre-rinse" or "Short"
program immediately without a load
in order to remove any traces of salt
from the chamber.

Rinse aid

Rinse aid is needed to prevent spotting
Refill salt
on dishes and glassware.
The rinse aid is filled in the reservoir
and the set amount will be
automatically dosed.

This would damage the rinse aid
reservoir.
Suitable products are available from
Miele Professional.
Alternatively household vinegar with a
max. 5 % acid content or liquid citric
acid with a max. 10 % acid content can
be used. The resulting rinsing and
drying quality will not, however, be as
good as when rinse aid is used.
