SETTING MODE OF THE RWF40 CONTROLLER

The correct setting of the RWF40 controller requires thorough knowledge, which can be acquired by carefully reading this manual.
The controller has a facility for the auto-acquisition of the parameters to be controlled "tunE", which automatically determines the process
variables.
THE USER IS ADVISED TO USE THIS FUNCTION after having set the parameters listed below.
Press the
key and proceed to level 1

Set the setpoint "SP1" (see page 23) using the
The longer the key is held down, the quicker the value changes.

Within this level the user can pass from one parameter to the next by pressing
Set the run time of the servomotor "tt" (see page 24) using the
• 24 s for the SQN90... - SQN91... model servomotor;
• 42 s for all other models of servomotor and burner;

CONFIGURATION LEVEL
Set:
the type of probe
- for PT100 with 3 wires, set the code 0000 (C111 page 38);
- for pressure probe, set code F000 (C111 page 38).
With signals at the 4...20 ma input, assign to:
SCL, the lower limit of the probe range;
SCH, the upper limit of the probe range.
Example.
• With a pressure probe with a 4...20 ma output and a 0...2.5 bar scale assign to:
SCL = 0
SCH = 2,5
• With a pressure probe with a 4...20 ma output and a 0...16 bar scale assign to:
SCL = 0
SCH = 16
N.B.
The controller leaves the factory set to work with the temperature probe.
When using the pressure probe, remember to set:
• the dead band "db", area without commands to the servomotor, Parameters level
• the ignition differential of the burner "HYS1" , Parameters level
• the shut-down differential of the burner "HYS3", Parameters level
Example:
• Pressure probe with 0...2.5 bar scale (low-pressure steam boilers), set:
db = 1% of the setpoint value;
HYS1 = -0,1;
HYS3 = 0,1.
• Pressure probe with 0...16 bar scale (high-pressure steam boilers), set:
db = 1% of the setpoint value;
HYS1 = -0,3;
HYS3 = 0,3.
the upper limit "SPH" and lower limit "SPL" of the setpoint (see page 31) using the keys
At this point, start-up the "tunE" function (see page 44).
Note. For the correct acquisition of the parameters, the "tunE" function must be started with the system cold or when the actual value (boiler
temperature/pressure) is approximately half the set-point value.
