  • Page 2 GSM communicator G10 Description The communicator G10 is designed to transmit messages from security control panel in secured object to an alarm receiving centre (ARC) and/or to a mobile/WEB application. Messages are transmitted using GPRS, SMS and DTMF tones via GSM network.

  • Page 7 The following settings have to be programmed for Caddx control panels: In order for communicator G10 to work with Caddx security control panels NX-4v2, NX-6v2, NX-8v2, NX-8e, control panels` locations 23 and 37 must be set as shown in the table below. When there are more than one partition in NX-8v2, NX-8e, also program locations 90, 93, 99, 102, 105, 108.

    5. Setting of operating parameters Module G10 operating parameters are set with computer program G10config. You can find software and required drivers in website www.trikdis.lt. To install G10config click twice on downloaded file and follow installation wizard. To install drivers, please follow steps below: 1.
  • Page 9 Panel type Select the type of security control panel, which is connected to the module G10. If one of an interface C11/C14/CZ6 is connected to the module, select the option INTERFACE C11/C14/CZ6; When the option 24h zone is selected in the drop-down list, module will transmit a message with a code set in the table Module events after braking/restoring input IN1 external circuit.

    Yes when request window opens. 9. Press the button Write [F6] and values entered in the program G10config windows will be uploaded to the G10. 10. Press the button Disconnect [F8] and unplug the USB cable from the USB socket.

    8. Setting of operating parameters remotely In order to set module G10 operating parameters remotely, you need to send a SMS message with the particular syntax to SIM card number. When the module G10 receives this SMS message, it opens GPRS communication session with software IPcom.

    3. After G10config opens, click Connect and Read in the program toolbar. GPRS connection status in the status bar will show Connected if GPRS connection session with module G10 is open. 4. Operation parameters of module G10 are set in the same way as using a USB cable (see section Setting Up Operation Parameters).

    Press Start to open the progress bar and start the updating which will take from 60 to 90 seconds. Press Read after the progress bar fills up. New version of module G10 operation program will show up in the G10config status bar.
