1-1 1 . AIS and ARPA Tarqet Association Condition

When the distrance between an AIS target and an ARPA target is less than the "identical
distance" of a preset value, these targels might be the same. In this case, only AIS symbol is
displayed and ARPA symbol may be suppressed. The method of setting the "identical distance"
to activate this association is as follows.
1. Left-click lMENUlon lhe screen.
2. Left-click

5. Left-click the "T.lDENT|CAL DISTANCE" edit box.
FCPA LlMil will be selected.
The numeric input dialogue box is opened.
6. Input the new value by pressing the 0 to 9 number keys or by using 16s l-+ | or
! t<eys, then press IEND I to input.
Note:
1. ARPA symbol, which was suppressed by this association, can be re-displayed by switching
OFF the AIS display. See'1-6 AIS Symbol Display".
2. Both AtS and ARPA symbol are displayed when the "IDENTICAL DISTANCE" is set to zero.
(Association OFF mode.) When turning power on the radar display, the "IDENTICAL
DISTANCE' is set to zero.
