AMI BIOS SETUP

4.2 BIOS Functions

This computer has AMI BIOS built-in and a CMOS SETUP utility that allow users to

configure required settings or to activate certain system features. The follwoing

sections describe the configuration options found in the menu items.

When you enter BIOS setup, the first menu that appears on the screen is the main

menu. It contains the system information including BIOS version, processor RC

version, system language, time, and date.

The Main BIOS setup image has two main frames. The left frame displays all the

options that can be configured. Grayed-out options cannot be configured. On the

contrary, options in blue can be configured. The right frame displays the key legend.

Above the key legend is an area reserved for a text message. When an option is

selected in the left frame, it is highlighted in white. Often a text message will

accompany it.

Immediately after the [DEL] key is pressed during startup, the main BIOS setup menu

appears:
