The SOLVE menu shows the operations you can do with the formula
list. Table 9-1 briefly describes these operations.

Displays the custom menu for the current formula

Allows you to change a formula after it has been entered;
also allows you to view an entire formula that is longer than
22
characters.
IDDiI
Displays the DELET menu, which is used to delete the cur-
rent formula and/or its user-variables.
Entering Formulas
To
enter a
formula into the formula list,
starting
from the MAIN menu:
1 • Press
eiIIII

2. If the list
is empty, go
to
step
3. If
the list already contains one
or
more
formulas,
press
.
0*
to move the list pointer to the bot-
tom
of
the formula list.
3. Type the
formula.
There is no limit on the length of the formula.
When
a
line is full, it rolls up to make room for another line of
characters. If you make a typing mistake, use the alphabetic
editing keys. (The
alphabetic
editing keys are covered on pages
23 and 24.)
4. Do a or b:
a.
Press
B1B
to enter the formulas and display the custom
menu. The
first
22 characters of current formula is at the
top
of
the display.
b.
Press
1
INPUT
I.
The
cursor disappears and line 3 displays the
list pointer and the first 22 characters of the formula. If
you
want to enter
another
formula, return to step 3.
*
If
you skip this step,
the new formula is inserted
after
the current formula.
