Each menu label represents a
user-variable created by the
solver.
You
can store numbers into these variables and do calculations the same
way you use other menus and their built-in variables.
Example: Entering a formula and using a custom menu. Part 1.
Use the formula on page 127 to create the custom menu shown in
figure 9-1. Then, calculate the cost of carpet needed to cover a 9' by
12'
room.
The carpet costs $22.50 per square
yard.
Part 2. Determine the most expensive carpet you can buy if the max-
imum amount you can pay to carpet the room is $300
