The main functions of the DSP on board can be
managed through the integrated touch screen.
Functions are grouped into six pages, as shown in the
Home page.
To reach the Home page from any other page,
touch the Home button.
From the Input page users can manage the amplitude
of all the four input channels separately.
From the Output page users can manage the amplitude
of the signal routed to the Subwoofer module, to the
Speaker output and the XLR DSP output separately.
From the three routing pages users can manage the
routing of the four input channels to the three outputs
(Subwoofer, Speaker Out and XLR DSP Out) as well
as the output volume and the delay amount of each
output separately.
The delay amount set inside the Routing pages is summed
to the one globally assigned from the Delay page.
Using the arrow buttons on the top right corner of the
page users can alternatively access the Subwoofer, the
Speaker Out and the XLR DSP Out routing page.
Notes: The XLR DSP routing page does not provide
the management of delay for this output.
From the two preset pages users can load any preset
stored on board.
Using the arrow buttons on the top right corner of the
page users can alternatively access the Factory or the
User preset page to scroll the list of all the available
presets and select the one to load.
See the PRESET page (p. ??) for a description of
Factory and User Presets.
Inside the Info page users can find all the information
about the software and firmware current version and
the Logical ID of the KMT module.
The Logical ID is a univocal number that is automatically
assigned to the unit when connected to a network.

8.6 AUDIO INPUT CONNECTOR WIRING

The Audio section includes a female balanced
XLR connector and a male XLR connector wired in
parallel. Thanks to these connectors it is possible
to feed a module and send the same signal to
another one through the LINK connector. It is
possible to connect up to 30 different modules in
parallel on the same balanced line (with a source
of 600 ohm output impedance). In order to create
your own signal cables, please use the following
wiring diagrams:

8.7 AMPLIFICATION AND PROTECTION CIRCUITRY

The KMT12 and KMT18 are powered by a 2-channel high power digital amplifier feeding the connected
modules with a power output of 1050W in each channel (EIAJ test).
All the specific functions for the KMT12 or KMT18, such as crossovers, equalization, phase response, and
driver protection are controlled by a DSP processor installed inside the amplifier.
The devices have two different types of audio signal limiter. The Clip limiter and the Average Power limiter
reduce the risk of damaging the components of the speakers.
A Peak Current Shut Down acts as output stage switching process inhibition that resets itself after 2 seconds.
The tripping point is at 35A.
A temperature protection limiter ensures the output stage gain stays below a temperature of 85° (approximate
temperature of output power device).

From the Delay page users can manage the delay
amount to be applied to the speaker system (Subwoofer
and Speaker Out).
This delay is summed to the one from the Routing
pages of Subwoofer and Speaker Out.
The COARSE and FINE regulation bars allow users to
regulate the delay amount by bigger and smaller steps.
Notes: The delay regulation does not affect the XLR
DSP out. Delay regulation for this output line is only
managed through the K-Framework dedicated controls.
