Stopping the engine

Vehicles with a Multidrive

Stop the vehicle.

Set the parking brake (P. 258), and shift the shift lever to P.

If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
ically when shifting the shift lever to P. (P. 256)
Press the engine switch.

Release the brake pedal and check that "ACCESSORY" on the

multi-information display is off.
Vehicles with a manual transmission

While depressing the clutch pedal, stop the vehicle.

Shift the shift lever to N.

Set the parking brake. (P. 258)

If the parking brake is in automatic mode, the parking brake is set automat-
ically when press the engine switch to stop the engine. (P. 257)
Press the engine switch.

Release the clutch pedal and check that "ACCESSORY" on the

multi-information display is off.
