Environmental EMS messages

The following table describes the environmental EMS messages that might appear
on the system console if your N3700 storage system encounters extremes in its
operational environment.

Description
This message is
issued when the
chassis fans are
OK.
This is a warning
message that is
issued when a
chassis fan is
spinning too
slowly.

Description
PCI host bridge INIT.
PCI try to init P2P bridges.
PCI device scan.
This message is written when
CFE jumps to the exception
handler, for whatever reason.
This is caused by either bad
hardware or a bad flash
memory.
Corrective action Syslog
No corrective LOG_NOTICE:
action needed. Chassis FRU is
ok
The fan unit LOG_ALERT:
should be Chassis FRU
replaced. contains at least
one fan spinning
slowly
The fan unit LOG_ALERT:

Corrective action
If the system stops with one
of these error codes, there is
likely a problem with either
the SB1250 chip or the
ISP2312 FC-AL chip.
