Command Description
ID=123456ab Sets the ID. Maximum 8 characters. ID is
stored in non-volatile memory once
configured.
ID? Shows current ID settings
IDSHOW=ON Enables display of ID at the end of each
message
IDSHOW=OFF Do not show ID at the end of messages
IDSHOW? Informs about IDSHOW settings
IMEISHOW=ON The IMEI number of the device will be
included at the end of each SMS from the
device.
IMEISHOW=OFF Do not show IMEI
IMEISHOW? Informs about IMEISHOW settings
DEVINFO Reports information about the device
include serial number, firmware version,
etc. Please provide this information every
time you contact technical support.
13. Original Factory Settings & Remote Update
Each new device has pre-configured factory settings. These are the so-called default
values. These settings are described below. The device can be returned back to these
default values at any time. The reset button is positioned on the front panel next to the
logo (see Chapter 1). To reset the device, press this button with a suitable thin object,
hold it for about 5 seconds until the POWER and OUT indicators start blinking
simultaneously. Then release the button and the reset procedure will start. Reset will take
about 5 seconds or less. Then the device will restart - the POWER and OUT indicators blink
3 times and the device starts to search the network. Your device is now returned to the
original factory configuration.
NOTE! All your personal settings will be erased during this reset procedure.

Remote Firmware Update
This new iSocket supports FOTA (Firmware Over The Air). Make sure that your SIM card
provider allows data on your SIM card. Firmware update will not use a lot of data traffic -
just a few kilobytes. Ensure that power to iSocket will not be interrupted during the remote
update. Only update the firmware if have found a malfunction or if you know that we have
released new features. Downgrade of firmware is not supported. NOTE! We do not
guarantee that the server for the update will always be available. We don't publish new
firmware often, because the device is well tested. This is why we do not support the update
server continually online. If your iSocket cannot connect to the server, please try later or
contact us if you think that your iSocket requires updating. Begin the update procedure by
simply texting the command FWUPDATE to iSocket. You might need to configure APN
if your provider will not support automatic configuration – contact us for details.
