Messaging with Apple devices

For Apple devices, "show notifications" must be enabled on the Apple device
for the DEA600 device after pairing via Bluetooth for the System to display
notifications of new text messages. This setting is available in the Apple
device's Bluetooth menu under the DEA600 device. Reconnection to the
system is required for the SMS to be properly connected.
Apple devices do not allow downloading of existing SMS messages or
sending new SMS messages from the System. Only new messages can be
read/hear using the System.

Apps

Only authorized Applications can be installed on the System. Contact
your dealer for further information.

Navigation

Truck-specific navigation is provided by the ALK CoPilot Truck Navigation
app. Open it by selecting the Navigation app from the Home screen as
shown in Figure 64.

CoPilot Truck provides truck-specific routing based on the truck profile set
within the CoPilot Truck menu. To change the truck profile, open the CoPilot
main menu  Route  Truck Routing Profile. Ensure that this profile is set
correctly as the route calculated and warnings displayed are based on these
settings.
A new destination can be set in the CoPilot main menu under Go To 
Address. Points of Interest including truck services, restaurants, service
stations and dealerships are available in the Points of Interest menu item.

Clock

Open the Clock App by selecting it on the Home main screen, see Figure 65
as reference.
The Clock screen is presented on Figure 66. The application is able to
present time in different cities locks; it also has Stopwatch, Timer and Alarm
options.
