Footplate angle adjustment

The footplate (7) can be tilted up to 45° to the right or left.
1. Turn the footplate locking lever (6) through 90 degrees.
2. Use the scale on
the footplate bracket (8) to
set the desired bevel angle.
There are several preset
angle markings but
the footplate can be set to
any angle between 0 and 45
degrees. Note: The preset
angle markings are accurate
enough for most general
purposes. If extra precision
is required, the angles should be checked using a protractor.
3. Hold the footplate in place and turn the locking lever back
through 90 degrees so that it is in line with the body of
the jigsaw to lock the footplate in position.
4. Always make a test cut on a piece of waste material to
check the angle setting before starting to cut the real
workpiece. Note: Remove or make sure that the parallel
guide's locking knob, located at the side of the footplate,
is angled away from the saw.
Pendulum action selection
The pendulum action can be set to different levels to vary the cutting angle of the blade
for increased cutting efficiency. Select the pendulum action setting which provides
the optimum stock removal for the material that you are cutting. For the finest possible
cut, the pendulum action should be set to position 0.
1. The pendulum action selector (9) sets the degree of pendulum swing.
2. There are 4 fixed settings, turn the selector carefully until it clicks into a setting. Never
use excessive force when pushing the jigsaw forwards. When the pendulum action is
used, the blade cuts only on the upward stroke. Refer to the chart below as a guide.
