Blade Tracking

The blade tracking has been properly set at
the factory. The tracking will rarely need to be
adjusted if the bandsaw is used properly.
Tools Needed
Hex Wrench 8mm .............................................. 1
Adjustable Wrench ............................................ 1
Open-End Wrench 17mm .................................. 1
Open-End Wrench 24mm .................................. 1
To adjust blade tracking:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Raise headstock all the way up and open
both wheel covers.
3.
Remove air hoses from blade guide assem-
blies, then remove both assemblies.
4.
Ensure blade is properly tensioned (refer to
Blade Tension on Page 27 for details).
5.
Making sure coolant hoses are out of blade
path, quickly turn machine ON and OFF.
— If blade lightly touches shoulder of idler
wheel without rubbing (see Figure 71),
blade is tracking properly and no adjust-
ments are needed. Go to Step 6.

— If blade moves away from shoulder of idler
wheel or rubs against it, loosen all (3) jam
bolts, adjust (3) tracking adjustment bolts,
and repeat Step 5 as needed until back
of blade lightly touches shoulder of idler
wheel, then tighten all (3) jam bolts.
Note: We recommend making small, incre-
mental adjustments with adjustment bolts.

6.
Re-install coolant hoses onto both blade
guide assemblies, then re-install them, mak-
ing sure they are correctly adjusted (refer to
Blade Guide Bearings) on Page 50.
7.
Close wheel covers.
