There are 2 types of modes: AUTO calibration mode and MAN-
UAL calibration mode. If SMETER LEVEL CALIBRATION item is
selected, the AUTO calibration mode is always selected.
For the LEVEL OFFSET value, display the previous adjustment
value after entering this item.
• When ending automatic level offset adjustment, send "TEST
MODE Level offset mode abort" via the local transmission
TUNER CONROL KEY.
S.METER: Displays S meter's instantaneous value at the "00"
position (display in 2 HEX digits)
LEVEL OFFSET: Displays LEVEL OFFSET value at the "00" po-
sition (display in 2 HEX digits)
Freq.: Current frequency display
STANDBY: Displays the adjustment status. (Not displayed dur-
ing MANUAL.)
On standby: "STANDBY"
Adjusting: "IN PROGRESS..."
Ended successfully: "OK"
Aborted: "NG"
[BACK] key: Exits this mode and returns to the SS MODE
screen
[EXIT] key: Exits this mode and returns to the normal screen (SS
mode is also canceled)
(1) AUTO/MANUAL
Select whether to calibrate level offset by AUTO or MANU-
AL.
If the 1st line item is AUTO, "(AUTO)" is displayed after
"S.METER LEVEL OFFSET CALIBRATION", and if the 1st
line item is MANUAL, then "(MANUAL)" is displayed after
"S.METER LEVEL OFFSET CALIBRATION".
(2) AUTO START
Displayed only if AUTO calibration is selected in 1.
Press this key to start level offset auto-calibration.
[Additional Information]
SSG setting when AUTO calibrating
• Frequency: FM 98.3MHz
• Modulation : Off
• Output: 35dBµV
With the above setting made, connect SSG to the set, and
start calibration by the [AUTO START] key.
*RDS SSG does not need to be connected.
If NG, slightly change output (dBµV) and start calibration
again.
(3) UP
Displayed only if MANUAL calibration is selected in 1.
Press this key to manually calibrate level offset value.
(4) DOWN
Displayed only if MANUAL calibration is selected in 1.
Press this key to manually calibrate level offset value.
(5) SAVE
Displayed only if MANUAL calibration is selected in 1.
Save the level offset value calibrated in 3 and 4

TOUCH PANEL CALIBRATION (Touch adjustment, off-

Defi ne the coordinates used in this sheet.
4.6.1 Touch adjustment (TOUCH ADJUST)
The 4 points on the screen, P1 (X1,Y1), P2 (X2,Y2), P3 (X3,Y3),
P4 (X4,Y4) are the coordinate values (voltage values) actually
read by touch adjustment.
The points shown on the adjustment screen have 2 dots, one for
X and one for Y coordinate.
In normal mode touch adjustment, P2 and P4 coordinates are ac-
quired. In test mode touch adjustment, coordinates of P1 to P4
are acquired (The reference point is lower left, whose coordinate
value shall be (1,1).

Note 1: In normal mode touch adjustment, "RESET" on the touch
adjustment screen resumes the data touchadjusted in the test
mode.
