Adaptive Highbeam Assist (AHA)
With the Adaptive Highbeam Assist system, included
in the light package, the new E-Class coupé sets new
standards in the field of intelligent illumination. Like
the manual high beams, the system is activated via the
steering column lever. A camera, combined with a
special image analysis module, sends signals for auto-
matic high beam activation to the headlamps
according to the traffic situation.
The system is capable of adjusting the high beams
almost steplessly to keep it below the dazzle threshold
for oncoming and preceding road users.
