Remove
the
two screws
securing the on/off switch
to
the front
panel.

Disconnect
the coaxial lead
from
the
hack
of Input
C
(Option
41 only).

replace the
front panel,
reverse the
above procedure.
Pass the
POWER
button
through
its
aperture
in
the front panel
and reconnect
the Input
C
amplifier
(Op-
tion
41 only)
before securing
the front
panel
Rear Panel

Complete
the following
procedure:
(1)
Remove
the
instrument
covers.
(2)
Disconnect
the
following
flying leads
between motherboard and
rear panel:
(a)
PL14
to
Reference
Oscillator
(b)
Q6, Q12,
and
Q8
to transistors
on the rear panel
(c)
TP1
and
TP2
to
Gate Output
(3)
Remove
the
screws
securing
the rear panel to the side
frame which
are
exposed by
removing
the rear-corner
feet.
(4)
Ease
the rear
panel
away
from
the counter,
disconnecting
the
BNC
mounting
board assembly
from
the
motherboard
at
PL19
and PL2Q.
(5)
Remove
the
nut
and
crinkle
washer
securing the
rectifier
bridge
Dll
to the
rear
panel
(6)
Disconnect
the
green/yellow ground
lead
connecting
the rear panel stud to the
power
input
plug.

To
replace
the rear panel,
reverse
the
above
procedure.
LETHAL VOLTAGE
WARNING:
THE
GROUNDING
OF
THE
COUNTER'S
EXTERNAL
METALWORK
DEPENDS UPON THE
INTEGRITY OF
THE
CONNECTION BETWEEN THE REAR PANEL STUD
AND
POWER
INPUT PLUG.
ENSURE THAT THE GREEN/YELLOW
GROUND
LEAD
IS
PROPERLY CONNECTED DURING
REASSEMBLY.

Remove

counter's top cover.
(2)
Remove
the
two screws
securing the
Input
C
PCB
to
the support
plate.
(3)
Disconnect
the
coaxial lead
from
the
Ch.
C
PCB.
