5.2 Maintenance task reference table [QL1]

The maintenance tasks and intervals for this product are defined in the Maintenance Schedule. The Mainte-
nance Schedule is a standalone publication.
The task numbers in this table provide reference to the maintenance tasks specified in the Maintenance
Schedule.

Measures
Visually inspect engine for leaks and general condition.
Check machine room for smell of gas.
Check for abnormal running noises and vibrations.

Check engine oil level in storage tank.
Replace air filter.
Replace engine oil filter when changing engine oil, or when
the interval (years) is reached, at the latest.
Check gas lines for leaks, seal if required.
Check ignition timing, adjust as necessary.
Check valve clearance and adjust if necessary. IMPORTANT!
First adjustment after 1,000 operating hours on a new en-
gine and 1,000 operating hours following each overhaul of
the cylinder heads.

Replace sensor.
Replace spark plug and seal in spark plug connector.
Measure valve projection.
Replace fine filter.
Replace coarse filter (coalescer filter).
If spark plug is replaced: Clean and check spark plug con-
nector, replace if required.
Replace flexible hose of coolant line (only 8V, 12V, and
16V).
Check exhaust emissions, adjust if required. Comply with lo-
cal emissions regulations.
