Using the Terminal
This chapter describes how to use the keyboard and display screen. It also describes how
the terminal can be used with a connected printer.
NOTE
If you don't know how to turn the terminal on and off or adjust
its controls, refer to the last two pages of Chapter I.
The Display Screen
The terminal's screen can display light characters on a dark background (default), or
dark characters on a light background. This feature is selectable in Setup Mode.
Also selectable in Setup Mode is the terminal's screen-saver feature. You can set the ter-
minal so that the display screen automatically turns off if there has been no use of the
keyboard or input from the computer during a specified amount of time. This helps
preserve the display unit. Pressing the
[]liill]
key, or receiving any input from the com-
puter, automatically turns the screen back on without loss of data.
