The oil-level sensor might

be faulty if "Check the oil
level" appears in the display

and does not go out, although
a check of the oil sight glass
shows that the oil level is cor-
rect.
Under these circumstances,
contact your authorised BMW
motorcycle dealer.c
Ambient temperature
The current ambient tempera-
ture is displayed. An ice warn-
ing ( 26) appears if the
b
ambient-temperature reading
drops below 3 °C. The display
automatically switches from
any other mode to the temper-
ature reading when the tem-
perature drops below this
threshold for the first time. The
reading flashes until you select
some other display mode.

• Set switch 1 to ON.
» Red telltale light 2 in the
switch lights up.
Setting road speed
• Briefly push button 3 in the
SET direction (arrow).
