6.11 Dosing units

Installation of dosing units for detergent and rinse agent:
When operating the dishwasher, it is necessary to use a commercial washing liquid and
rinsing agent. Only use washing liquids and rinsing agents that are suitable for
dishwashing appliances and have been approved by the relevant Federal Environmental
Agency. The safety instructions relating to their handling, dosing, storing and use must be
observed in all cases.
The detergents and rinse agents should be dosed via a suitable dosing unit; the relevant
regulations must be observed when installing such equipment (DVGW, UVV, VDE, DIN
1988). It must be determined here whether specific provisions apply regarding backflow
prevention! Under no circumstances must detergent or rinse agent be allowed to enter
the water mains!

6.12 Detergent spraying system

If a direct detergent spray system is used such as is offered by a number of chemical
suppliers, special safety precautions must be taken because of the aggressive nature of
the highly concentrated detergent. It is particularly important to take precautions to
prevent the detergent spray from escaping when the dish-washers vertical doors are
opened!
7 Adjustment of the machines effected by a service
technician during the first setting in operation
7.1

Commissioning

To avoid damages or dangerous injuries during the setting in operation of the
dishwashing machine, please observe the following points:
 - The setting in operation must be executed by qualified personnel under
consideration of the safety standards.
 - Before the first start, check if all tools and foreign parts are removed out of the
installation.
 Activate all the safety systems and magnetic switch before commissioning.
 - Read the chapter „General safety rules".
The fitters installing the installation will provide training and carry out commissioning. The
system can only be used by the operator after having been carefully instructed.
