1.
Set the Power switch for the system unit (and
expansion unit, if attached) to Off (0).
2.
Set all other attached devices to Off (0).
3. Unplug all work station unit power cords
from the power outlets.
4. Remove the system unit cover (see Section 5).
5. Verify that all adapter cards (and top card
connectors, if present) are seated properly.
6. Determine the amount of memory installed in
the system unit. Refer to the IBM
3270
Personal Computer Components Record in
your
Guide to Operations.
7. Refer to Section 6 and verify that the switch
settings on the system board and on the
adapter cards are correct for the features and
memory installed.
8. Correct any switch settings that are wrong.
9. Reinstall the system unit cover (see Section
5).
10. Plug all work station power cords into
properly grounded power outlets and proceed
with "Power-On Self-Test" on the next page.
