OUIK lOK Reel Clampers
These are quick reel fastening devices, Pu!.l
up and align the three notches, then place
reels of the same size on the reel tables
(either both 5" or both 7"L Turn the top
part of the OU! K LO K to secure each reeL
Turn top part 60 degrees !click) and the
reels will be secured automatically. Pull and
turn the three notches 60 degrees to change
the reels,

Reel Tables
Never try to start the tape unless both
reels are firmly secured on the reel tables.
You are recommended to

the same size
reels on both sides.
0 Tape Counter and Reset Button
The four·digit counter will indicate how
much tape has been played or fast wound in
either direction. When the tape is wnning in
the forward direction in play or fast forward
mode, the index counter counts up, and
when the tape is running in the reverse
diraction, it counts down. Normally, the
counter is reset (by pHls.sing thll reset but-
ton) to "0000"
at
the beginning of record·
ing or playback to establish an initial
reference am! also to direct continuous
playback in conjunction with the AUTO
REPEAT switch,

Left Tension Arm
This arm maintains constant tape tension as
well as acting as a tape guide.
0 Inertia Rnller and Senstng Post
Inertia roller turns with the tapa and helps to
stabilize tape bounce for smooth tape travel.
On the X-300 R, a sensing post is located
near the inertia roller to activate the auto-
reverse function when sensing foil makes
contact with both the left inertia roller and
the sensing post. See page 24 for informa·
tion about sensing foil.

Head Housing
Easily pulled out for cleaning the heads and
tape guides. S!le page 26 for maintenance.
8$ Right Tensi.on!Shut-Off Arm
and Guide Post
The tension arm acts to shut oft power to
the transport section when the tape reaches
the end. When the tape is threaded, the
tension arm lifts up and the capstan starts to
rotate.
The

this tension arm is down, even if the tape is
threaded, play (

Tables de transport
Ne tentez jamais de faire demarrer une ban·
de si les deux bobines ne sont pas convena,
blement tixees aux tables de transport. II est
recommandi! d'utiliser des bobines

format des
deux cOtes.

remise

Ce compteur digital

mentation de Ia section de transport en fin ..
