6.5 MANUALLY MOVING THE SCOOTER

 Turn the power switch OFF before moving.
 Lift the scooter by the chassis, not by the bumpers. Lifting the scooter by the bumpers
could
cause damage or injury.
 For your safety, always ask for help. 2 or 3 persons will be needed when moving or lifting
the vehicle.

■ TROUBLE SHOOTING
Symptom
The scooter will not switch on:
The scooter switches on, but
the scooter will not move:
The scooter appears slow:
The
seat
turns
operation:
The handlebar appears loose:
Horn sounds involuntarily:
The LED lights will 'blink' if there is a problem with your Daytona scooter. The list below will
assist you in identifying any possible malfunction.
1 blink
2 blinks
3 blinks
6 blinks
7 blinks
Remedy
 Try recharging the batteries
 Check the fuse and circuit breaker in the scooter
 Ensure there is enough power in the batteries; if not,
recharge.
 Ensure the freewheel lever is engaged in the 'DRIVE'
position.
 Check the battery power level and recharge
 Check the speed dial is not set to slow.

 Slowly rotate the seat until it drops into place and is
secure
 Tighten the height adjustment handle to secure the
handlebar
 Ensure that the wigwag paddle is released.
 Switch the scooter off and on.
 Recharge the batteries.
 If problem persists contact CareCo.
The batteries need charging
Check the connections to the motor
There is a short circuit to a battery connection.
Contact CareCo Customer Service.
The battery charger may still be connected.
Disconnect the charger.
Ensure the throttle lever is in the 'stop' position.
Switch off for 5 seconds then switch on again.
