2.4 THE CONTROLS

The gauge is operated by 5 keys (Figure 3).
On/Off key
: Switches the gauge on or off.
Softkeys: The function of these keys varies
and is described by symbols and writing on the
bottom line of the screen.
LED: Red/green flashes when the gauge is
switched on, green flashes when a reading is
taken. Also indicates when a reading is inside
or outside limits - see "Set limits" on page 39.

Press
key
to
switch on gauge.
Gauges with integral
probes:
Press
key
to
switch on gauge, or
place the probe on a
surface.
Note: Before switching the gauge on for the first
time read "Selecting a language" on page 11.
