Diagnostics Protection

The detector tests the ambient air (auto zero) and the test
gas applied (auto span) to ensure it meets expected values.
If a significant level of background target gas is present
during an auto zero, the sensor(s) affected will read Err and
exit the auto zero function while retaining the previous set
value(s).
In an auto span, if any target gas is not present or does not
meet expected values, the display advises you and exits the
calibration mode while retaining the previous set value(s).

Applying Gas to the Sensors

The calibration hose, which is shipped with the detector,
simplifies the sensor testing and calibration. Table 10 and
Figure 3 show how to use it when applying gas to the
sensors.
