MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

WHEN
Before starting out

WHAT
Test brakes for faultless
operation
Move the brake release lever (11) to
drive mode. It should now be impossi-
ble to push the wheelchair. If this is not
the case, have the magnetic brakes re-
paired by an authorized specialist work-
shop.
Lighting and direction
indicating system
Test for faultless operation
Check air pressure of the tyres
Full tyre pressure – directional wheel
2.5 bar = 35 psi
Full tyre pressure – drive wheel
2.5 bar = 35 psi
Check tyre profile
Minimum tread = 1 mm
Battery maintenance
open batteries:
– acid level
– acid density
– clean battery terminals and clamps
sealed batteries:
– no maintenance
Please check:
– Cleanness.
– General condition.
Safety inspection
REMARK
Implement the check yourself or with a
helper (see safety instructions in the
section entitled "Brakes").
See the 'Lighting' part of the 'Service'
section for the replacement of defec-
tive bulbs.
Observe the contents of the 'Driving on
public roads' section of the 'Safety in-
formation' brochure.
Do it yourself or with the aid of a help-
er Use a tyre gauge or, if you do not
have one, use the "thumb pressure
method" (see safety instructions in the
section entitled "Tyres".
Carry out visual check yourself.
If the tyre profile is worn down or if
the tyre is damaged, consult an au-
thorized specialist workshop for re-
pairs.
