3. (For first-time use only) The Windows Device Manager shows the printer when connected for the first
time as unrecognized devices:

FL GEN3 USB PRINTER: Use as a virtual COM port.
·
FLI-CDC-DFU 1.1.v: Use for Device Firmware Upgrade.
4. Right-click FL GEN3 USB PRINTER; use the CDC driver package to install manually the virtual
COM port.

5. (Optional) Install the DFU Device Firmware Upgrade drivers. See page 22 for details.
The printer is now ready for use via its Virtual Communication Port. Note the COM port number.
