The PLC CPUs of the MELSEC System Q are equipped
with a battery. During interruption of the power supply the
battery can hold the data of the program memory, the
built-in RAM and the clock for several thousand hours.
However, this time depends on the type of CPU.
The battery should be changed every 10 years.
The SRAM memor y cards have an own batter y
(Q2MEM-BAT) and are therefore independent from the
battery of the CPU.
The battery of a Q00J, Q00 and Q01CPU is
mounted behind the upper cover at the CPU
modules front.
