Instructions for Use

Taking Measurements

1. Remove the Jaundice Meter from the
charger unit.
WARNING:
Before use, clean the measuring probe
by wiping it with medicinal alcohol.
Failure to do so could result in the
spread of infection or infant injury.
2. Using medicinal alcohol, clean the
measuring probe.
3. Set the Power switch to the On position.
The measured value for a single
measurement, n-1, appears on the
display.
4. Visually check that the Ready lamp
illuminates.
5. If the battery indicator blinks, charge the
battery (see "Charging the Battery" on
page 4-1).
