When the control panel is turned on by pressing the sub power switch,
the indicator on the [Start] key lights up in orange, and a screen indicating
that the machine is starting up appears.
After a few seconds, the message "Now warming up. Ready to scan." ap-
pears on the touch panel, and the indicator on the [Start] key lights up in
green, indicating that a job can now be queued.
The default settings are those that are selected immediately after the ma-
chine is turned on (the power switch is set to "n") and before any setting
is specified from the control panel or touch panel, and those that are se-
lected when the [Reset] key is pressed to cancel all settings specified
from the control panel or touch panel. The default settings can be
changed. For details, refer to "Initial setting" on page 12-21.
The factory default settings are the settings that were selected when this
machine was sent from the factory.
Note
A job can also be queued while the machine is warming up after the sub
power switch is pressed. For details, refer to "To scan during warm-up"
on page 2-27.
After the machine has finished warming up, the scanned image will be
printed.
The machine takes about 72 seconds to warm up at normal room tem-
perature (23°C) when the control panel is turned on using the sub power
switch after the machine is turned on using the main power switch.
