Selection of Projector Model
This section offers a simple two-step guide to selecting the most appropriate projector model.
Step-1
First, calculate the required luminance of the projector using two parameters: the screen width and the screen gain
that will be used.
Note that the values in the chart below were calculated in consideration of the fact that the luminance of projection
lamp bulbs tends to deteriorate over time. Therefore, an extra margin of lamp power should be factored in choosing
a projector to ensure the lamp provides the required luminance right through until its recommended time of
replacement.
This calculation is based on an assumed brightness level of 14 ft-L. The aspect ratio of the screen is illustrated below.
