To make it easier for the user to memorize where analogue TV channels are stored in the preset list,
the analogue TV channels must be stored at a preset number as specified below:
Preferably the analogue TV channels should be stored contiguously at preset numbers below
100, starting at a multiple of 10 plus 1 (for instance 51).
If the above rule cannot be applied the analogue TV channels should be stored contiguously
at preset numbers starting at a multiple of 100 plus 1 (for instance 201).
4.4.10 Reinstall
The end user shall be able to initiate a manual service installation, meaning that tuning parameters of

The end user shall be able to initiate a service update installation, meaning that the existing service
lists will be updated according to SI data received during a new scan. Sorting of the existing service

or initial install.
4.4.12 Automatic Maintenance Of Service Lists
Over time networks will evolve, as more areas will be covered for reception of digital terrestrial
television and more services will be provided. The receiver must be able to keep in sync with
changes in the network.
Main objective is to add new services, available for the end user, to the service list instantly without
user interaction.
When a specific transport stream is tuned to by the user, a new TSSL will be created and merged
into the MSL
Service installation shall initiate a service update installation on a regular basis which is not intrusive
for the end user. This action is performed once per 24 hours maximum, when the tuner/demodulator
hardware for the digital signal path is not in use by the end user (for instance just after switching to
standby). The service update installation is aborted immediately when the end user selects a digital
service.
