4.4.2 AUTOSTORE
All of the multiplexes are scanned. The services are administered according to their tuple [Original
Network ID, Transport Stream ID, Service ID]. Between services with the same tuple, the one from
the best reception is chosen. Only services of the proper service type shall be placed in the program
list. It is desirable that during stand-by, the whole band will be scanned for changes and proper
updates made
4.4.3 PROGRAM LIST
A program list from Program 1 to Program 999 plus external sources can be invoked by "OK" key.
The program list sequence can be altered by "channel edit" in OSD menu and should not be
influenced by "channel skipped". For each of these lists, the sorting is determined by the selected
country. If an LCN list is available, it will be respected
4.4.4 INITIAL INSTALL (Updated)
The end user shall be able to initiate a new service installation, meaning that any existing service lists
and sorting will be overwritten. At the start of new service installation, the Primary Service List and
the User Selectable Service List are considered to be uninitialized.
When the iDTV is in the Virgin State, a new service installation shall be initiated by the iDTV.
At the start of a new service installation, the end user shall select a country.
After an installation has been completed or interrupted, the end user shall be able to bring the TV
back to the Virgin State
It shall be possible for the user to choose "General Country" in the country selection. In this state, the
TV impelements, above the basic requirements, the "General European" requirements.
The iDTV shall contain, in non-volatile memory, the latest version of the list that couples a country
name to an ONID. For country's that do not yet have an ONID registered at DVB, the ONID shall be
derived by the formula: ONID = 0x2000 + 3-digit country code
The result of a service installation shall be presented to the end user by means of one or more
service lists.
