Place the espresso machine on a flat, horizontal and stable surface in a safe place, where nobody can overturn it or be injured by it. Do not use the
espresso machine in an outdoor location. Do not place the machine on very hot surfaces or close to water, open flames or sources of intense heat. When
the machine is witched on, it must not be covered with a cloth or other materials.

Power supply:

Connect the espresso machine to a suitable mains socket. The voltage must correspond to that indicated on the machine label.

Do not use the espresso machine if the power cord is defective or damaged. In such cases, the power cord must be immediately replaced. Do not pass
the power cord around corners, over sharp edges or over hot objects and keep it away from oil and water. Do not use the power cord to carry or pull the
espresso machine. Do not pull out the plug by pulling on the power cord or touch it with wet hands. Do not let the power cord hang freely from tables or
shelves.
Danger of electrocution:
Never allow water to come into contact with any of the electrical parts of the machine.
Protection for other people:
Prevent children from playing with the machine. Children are not aware of the risks related to electric household appliances. Do not leave the machine
packaging materials within the reach of children.

Danger of burns:

Never initiate a jet of hot steam without having previously fully inserted the mixer in the cup or in the protection device.
Cleaning:
Before cleaning, unplug the machine and let it cool down. Never use alkaline detergents, solvents, alcohol or aggressive substances. Do not put the

If the machine is to remain inactive for a long time, unplug it and store it in a dry place out of reach of children. Keep it protected from dust and dirt.
Repairs/Maintenance:
In case of failure, problems or a suspected fault resulting from impact if the machine has fallen from a certain height, remove the plug from the socket

Fill the tank only with fresh, non-sparkling, drinking water. Do not operate the machine if the water is not at least above the minimum level indicated on
the tank.
Capsule (pod) compartment:
Only Lavazza BLUE capsules are to be placed in the capsule compartment. Do not insert your fingers or any other object. Capsules must be used only once.
Disposal of the machine at the end of its operational life (European Directive 2002/96/EC,
Legislative Decree No 151 of 25 July 2005):
The symbol of a wheeled bin attached to the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at
the end of its operational life. The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate separate collection centre for electronic and electrotechnical
equipment in the country in which it used or take it to a dealer when buying a new appliance of the equivalent kind (on a ' o ne-for-one' basis). The
user is responsible for appropriate separate collection under penalty of the sanctions provided for by applicable current legislation. Adequate separate
disposal of these appliances for recycling and/or environmentally friendly disposal contributes towards the prevention of possible negative effects on
the environment and on human health, and encourages recycling of the materials the appliance is made of. For further and more detailed information
concerning available methods of collection/disposal the local waste-product disposal units and centres should be referred to or seek assistance from the
retailer from whom the appliance was originally purchased.
